Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder, which may cause impairments in social
behaviors such as lack of eye contact, facial expressions, poor communication abilities that may result
from both verbal and non-verbality and repetitive and stereotyped behaviors.
Pictorial Autism Assessment Schedule (PAAS) is presented as an Android mobile app which is an Artificial
Intelligence (AI) based, fully automated tool for early ASD Screening. The mobile app gathers answers to
21 simple questions from parents whose children are between one to four years of age. Based on those
answers the AI based tool predicts if a child has a lower likelihood of having ASD or requires further
investigation by a medical practitioner.
